Job Description

Our Client is a Chemical Supplier to the UK Manufacturing Industry. They are now seeking a Technical Services Assistant. This position will be office based in Leeds and is a full-time permanent role.Job Purpose

  • This a great opportunity for a Science or Chemistry graduate looking to develop a commercially focused career
  • Office based, you will enjoy a broad-based role offering increasing responsibility; providing a centralised Technical Service to internal and external customers alike
    • Key Responsibilities
  • Liaising with and responding to a variety of technical enquiries from customers, depots and head office colleagues
  • Compiling and completing customer / prospective customer questionnaires in a timely manner, as well as updating and interpreting associated documentation
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date records and logging of technical enquiries on the database
    • Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a science-based subject (essential)
  • Some experience in a customer facing service / support role is desirable; ideally gained in a similar technical environment
  • Self-motivated and capable of working effectively in either a team environment or on an independent basis
  • IT/PC literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications
  • A keen eye for detail and plenty of enthusiasm, along with the ability to plan and prioritise a busy workload
  • Strong organisation and communication skills, supported by a confident telephone manner
