Job Description

OverviewMulti-purpose Technical Manager with responsibility for the oversight of the LMSTL transaction reporting process and the fulfilment of regulatory reporting obligations (CMAR, Rep-Crim, RTS28). To support the business through the continued review of Transaction Reporting procedures making appropriate suggestions, with supported rationale, to enhance and improve our offering. Maintain full awareness of business, industry and regulatory changes that will impact our TR and reporting obligations. Provide assurance to the business through checks and reviews that regulatory reporting has been completed thoroughly and accurately. Act as centre of excellence for business MI, monitoring, analysing and reporting trends/issues and implementing remedial actions.Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure fulfilment of daily transaction reporting obligations.
  • Oversight of the transaction reporting process, improving and streamlining where possible and providing documented rationale to support decisions.
  • Maintenance and updating of TR procedural documentation.
  • Responsible for the timely back reporting and documentation of any errors.
  • Manage day to day relationship with our Approved Reporting Mechanism (ARM)
  • Provide guidance, coaching and advice to the reporting administrator
  • Provision of timely and relevant MI on the transaction reporting process
  • Provide guidance and advice to operational business units regarding the provision of complete and accurate reporting data
  • Timely provision of CMAR, Rep-Crim and RTS 28 reports
  • Adhoc technical tasks within the Share Dealing business
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of regulatory rules and requirements (EG Marketwatch, MiFir)
    • Experience & Personal Attributes
  • Strong operational understanding of the share dealing/wealth management industry.
  • Minimum 2 years detailed working knowledge of Mifid II transaction reporting requirements.
  • Understanding of regulatory reporting – Rep Crim, CMAR, RTS28 Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge including data analysis, pivot tables, vlookups. Experience of VBA and creating macros.
  • Previous exposure to working closely with the Compliance function.
  • Proven problem solving abilities.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Some man-management experience.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter and comfortable working remotely at times.
