Job Description

Job AdvertHavent you heard ...Asda is separating from Walmart!This means we are going through one of the biggest retail transformation programmes that the world has ever seen! Future is the name for the programme that will see Asda create their newoperating model, independent from Walmart. Technology will undoubtedlybe one of the most ambitious parts of this work. As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will be instrumental in building the Asda Ecommerce platform from scratch with the use of 3rd parties.Your RoleThe Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for the iterative feature delivery, feature deployment and quality performance of their respective products. Accountable for all technical aspects and delivery of their respective products.

  • Tracking the technical implications of changes made through dev life cycle
  • Writing technical stories to support the functional stories in the product backlog
  • Define and manage of delivery plan of products
  • Maintaining focus on backlog priorities including tech debt, vulnerabilities, bugs as well as features
  • Hold the delivery squad to account for managing development throughout
  • Ensuring resource efficiencies and delivery of quality tested code.
  • Supporting a live service and ensuring critical issues are being resolved - Likely to be on a 3rd or 4th line support.
  • Partner daily with product, business, UX and engineering squad players, to ensure timely resolution to any delivery challenges.
  • Ensure smooth service transition and Service Architect, Date Architect co-ordination, to promote scalable and serviceable feature solutions.
  • Accountable for the multi-functional technical team for their respective products.
  • Vendor management and monitoring service performance.
  • Ensuring quality and compliance standards are maintained.
  • Experience using jira and confluence
  • Desirable architect and design experience
About You
  • Managing stakeholder relationships at a senior level, establishing a high level of trust
  • Leading at a senior level in a large Technology department, supporting a fast, paced, dynamic, multi-channel business
  • Strong Agile methodology experience
  • Delivering Technical projects across, Ecommerce, Development or Infrastructure environment.
  • Prioritisation and resource management
  • Knowledge of technology stacks and products
Desirable Skills
  • Experience using Jira and confluence
  • Desirable architect and design experience
