Night Shift Team Leader and Trainee TechnicianSalary competitive - dependant on experienceLeedsI am recruiting for a Team Leader position for a company to run an efficient night shift team ensuring absolute compliance to H&S requirements and safe operations of the plant and machinery. As a Team Leader you will be expected to achieve the required levels of output and quality. You will also be required to monitor, repair or isolate machines in the safest way possible. Reporting to the Carding Technician for the mechanical side of the operation and the Assistant Production Manager for the operational side of the operation you will need to recognise that this is a very hands-on role, getting into the machines and manufacturing process, you will need to be highly motivated and self managing and be able to want to develop yourself and your mechanical skills and knowledge.This will suit someone with good pre-existing mechanical skills, Graduate engineer or HNC, ONC engineering, Mechanical Fitter, Mechanic, but you must have real mechanical skills which can be developed and advanced to the finer skills of carding and spinning, or you may be an existing time served underman(person) in carding and spinning. You will be experienced in running a small, but highly effective team alongside all aspects of the management of holidays, clocking times, disciplinary and time management of your team.
