Job Description

Sustainability Consultant - Remote CTJ1013Permanent £30K - £35kThis is an excellent opportunity to join an industry-leading organisation in the construction, energy performance, building control and software sectors. You will become part of an experienced and skilled team that are dedicated to excellence and providingthe best quality service in the industry.The ideal candidate will:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering or a similar, related discipline with 2+ years relevant industry experience.
  • Detailed working knowledge of the current Building Regulations Part L.
  • Understanding of forthcoming revisions to the Building Regulations Part L, Government commitments to Zero Carbon and other related policies.
  • Experience in the production of renewable feasibility assessments and planning energy statements.
  • Excellent IT skills, including all Microsoft Office.
  • Clear and confident communication, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to understand and explain complex issues over the phone or via email.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the execution and delivery of detailed thermal and daylight assessments using IES software.
  • Undertake building energy inspections for both compliance purposes and the identification of energy improvement potential.
  • Provide advice to clients on building envelope design, natural ventilation, material selection, services and LZCs.
  • Undertake renewable feasibility assessments in accordance with regional planning policies.
  • Produce detailed technical reports.
  • Provide technical support to BREEAM Assessors.
