Job Description

The Asset Surveyor works closely with other members of the Asset Team, the Neighbourhood Surveyors and the Neighbourhood Teams to maximise the performance of our assets while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and tenancy and neighbourhood sustainabilityClient DetailsOur client is a leading Housing Association, providing and managing over 40,000 homes across YorkshireDescriptionMain duties will be:

  • Identifying and then managing the following up of repairs
  • Supporting the effective coordination of planned and cyclical maintenance
  • Key responsibility in ensuring that our customers receive a high-quality repairs service
  • Deliver value for money
  • Achieves high levels of customer satisfaction.
You will be expected to provide a forensic understanding of our buildings, including diagnosis and pathology as well as stock performance across the LFHA portfolio and be able to communicate and demonstrate clear investment / divestment requirements throughrelevant diagnostics and surveying procedures.You will liaise and work with stakeholders, such as contractors/developers, funders, local authorities and consultants, with internal departments and most importantly with prospective/current customers.Profile· NAT FED SOR experience· Building/ Construction related qualifications (ideal)· Experienced working in a social housing maintenance environment (required)· Experience of carrying out a range of property inspections· Knowledge of industry related legislation· Good IT knowledge· Good practical skills with a methodical approach to work· Driven and self-motivated· Passionate about doing the right thing, not the easy thing· Ability to manage own workload and meet deadlines· Strong communication skills and excellent team working skillsJob OfferSalary of £40500Fixed term 12-month post (with a strong possibility this will become permanent) and progression30 days annual leaveFlexible workingEssential user car allowanceRequired skills
