Could this be youAbout the Role:As a Support Worker at our day service, Acorns Autism Support in Leeds, you will work with people who have varying degrees of learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, mental health needs and challenging behaviour. You will support with all aspects of every day living to encourage their independence and support them to lead the most fulfilling life possible, incorporating both therapy and social based activities.Whilst no two days are the same typically, you will support people who wish to participate in home and living activities with the opportunity to practice their daily living skills in a supportive environment. You will also support people with activities such as sensory, art, craft, music, movement and drama, gym and community outings. As part of the role you will also support people in their own home, at work, in an educational setting or in the community meeting their wishes, interests and needs.We are currently recruiting a support worker to join our established and experienced team of superheroes.
