Job Description

Supply Chain Transition Manager - 2 Year ContractParker Young is delighted to be supporting a privately owned, Global FMCG organisation to Identify an FMCG Supply Chain expert, to manage a number of key projects for the organisation’s UK Supply Chain.As Supply Chain Transistion Manager you will own the process of guiding the Brexit preparation, setting up processes for transition, managing through the transition and maintaining procedures post Brexit.You will:

  • Project management of the new design and deliver processes to agreed timescales. Ensuring all key stakeholders are kept informed regarding project status.
  • Provide consistent and robust advice and communicate clearly on requirements to the business (at all levels)
  • Be the critical expert in driving relevant guidance forward through to actions and completion.
  • Be the gatekeeper of all Supply Chain processes and procedures to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Be the responsible person for understanding the relevant customs guidance
  • Be able to plan for the unpredictable when managing projects
  • Ensure all tasks are completed through to completion and completely correct.
  • Use your experience to take ownership of any issues and put robust measures in place to resolve.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are fully integrated and supported.
  • Remain up to date with changes and trends in customs and related rules and regulations.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels
  • Ensure ongoing compliance to maintain AEO status
    • Technical knowledge required:
  • Freight forwarder background with experience in export paperwork, health certificates, customs entries / procedures, duty, EUR1 (movement certificates), rules of origin, commodity codes, meursing codes and tariffs
    • Our Client is looking for an immediately available Supply Chain Expert for this two year FTC. You will be strong project Management skills gained in an FMCG Supply Chain environment and have excellent SAP and Excel knowledge.We are looking to someone with great attention to detail, someone who is a self- starter and who can operate autonomously without the need for continued guidance. You will be goal orientated and have strong communication/ numerical skills. A supply chain professional who is commercially aware, with a focus on continuous improvement and has experience in working in other FMCG disciplines would be beneficial also. Required skills
