Job Description

Supply Chain Analyst£28,000 - £35,000 Per AnnumLs10 A key role within the company to develop and monitor supply chain strategy with the aim of improving process efficiency, reducing costs and keeping track of logistics, updating systems in real time with a portfolio of over 5000 SKUs. A crucial statistical analysis-based role providing accurate and detailed data on the supply chain performance to the management team and wider business.A fundamental requirement of the role will be to develop, collaborateand maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders and our operations support partners to ensure accurate data collation. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implementing overall supply chain strategy in liaison with Purchasing Director and MD
  • Determine, monitor and report on key supply chain KPIs
  • Key focus to ensure reduction in out of stocks whilst achieving lowest stock turn possible
  • Responsible for reporting of supplier lead times.
  • Produce analysis of historical sales patterns and trends including seasonality
  • Create accurate forward demand forecasts
  • Continually analyse operational performance and suggest resolutions to issues
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments including liaison with departments to ensure data is smart, robust and analysis updates are acted upon
  • Identify and suggest resolutions to issues as they arise, eg continual poor performance of supplier, in collaboration with senior management as necessary
  • Monitor and analyse supply chain performance including supplier and freight
  • Reporting on supply chain metrics to suggest cost improvements
  • Responsible for improving, reporting on managing and analysing e-procurement system data
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Hold a degree level qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or similar
  • Excellent command of mathematics and statistics
  • Proven working knowledge at high level of use of Microsoft excel
  • Excellent knowledge of Supply Chain
  • Previous job role as a Supply Chain Analyst
  • Hands on working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Strong commercial awareness with focus on cost reduction
  • Working knowledge of SCD/e-procurement systems
  • Strategic, analytical individual with fastidious attention to detail
  • Critical thinker with proven problem solving skills
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels and comfortable presenting data to senior management
  • Effective organisation and time management skills
  • Previous experience of working within UK import business
