Job Description

Supervisor, Settlements & Transfers - Share DealingLeeds£ CompetativeOverview:We have a great opportunity for a Supervisor to join our Shrae Dealing team here at Link Group in Leeds.The Supervisor for Settlements & Transfers will be responsible for supervising the staff and regulated services provided by the Settlements & Transfers team.The role will report directly to the Manager forSettlements & transfers.Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the team comply with internal and external procedures and FCA regulations
  • Ensure that all complaints received are dealt with in accordance with the defined procedures
  • Ensure that any incidents or breaches are reported in accordance with procedures
  • Oversee the daily allocation of incoming work
  • Escalate concerns and/or emerging risks to management
  • Ensure PEGA / email queries are investigated / answered within agreed timeframes
  • Investigate and resolve any reconciliation issues, liaising with administrator concerned and reporting any issues to the line manager
  • Check letters written by Team before they are sent
  • Discuss and deal with any concerns staff members may have with their role or the team
  • Input to staff appraisals and objective/goal setting
  • Assist the manager with planning, monitoring and co-ordinating workloads to ensure appropriate resources/skills within the team are utilised to maintain performance standards
  • Assist the manager with monitoring the effectiveness of working procedures and ensure that these are met by all staff
  • Ensure that work is carried out within agreed procedures and time frames so as to meet Link Group standards and those recognised at industry level
  • Ensure all development / training plans and coaching of staff are implemented to maximise full potential and highlight any concerns regarding team and individual performance
  • Assist direct reports with any issues/queries in the absence of the Manager or in conjunction with the Manager
  • Assist and deal with any ad-hoc duties within the department
  • Ensure key controls are carried out within the month they are due and that any issues highlighted or addressed are followed through to resolution
Experience & Personal Attributes:
  • Ideally IOC qualified (or willing to become qualified, we cover the cost of this and once completed you will gain an additional salary uplift)
  • Proven ability supervising large operational teams
  • Good working knowledge of our settlement processes
  • Experience allocating work and supervising team performance
  • Working knowledge of PRISM, MSL and stock transfer processes
  • Working knowledge of the UK equities settlement system (CREST)
  • A positive approach and desire to improve processes and team performance
