We are specialists in delivering pipelines; design; marine; structural steel; tunnelling; fabrication; bridges and piling; and invest heavily in our substantial holding of plant; equipment and facilities.Job description:Streetworks AdministratorBased Leeds – LS9Due to a significant increase in contract scope, we now need to hire into our Streetworks team in Leeds to further strengthen our capability in this area.You’ll be joining a hardworking team, part of the overall J. Murphy & Sons Group, as we continue on our path of growth and expansion.General duties:

  • Assist with preparing records, retrieving documentation and interfacing our systems
  • Resolve internal and external customer enquiries, referring those that you are unable to resolve to the correct recipient
  • Provide high quality customer service in all communications with internal and external clients
  • Maintain accurate paper and computer-based records
  • Produce correspondence, documents and presentations to specification using a variety of media
  • Maintain established paper and computer-based filing systems
  • Conduct financial duties, for example, processing invoices or tracking costs
  • What we’ll hope you can demonstrate:
  • Successful experience of working in a general administration support role and/or in a customer services environment
  • Knowledge of the Streetworks noticing systems
  • Knowledge of the NRSWA (New roads and Streetworks act) requirements would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of operating office equipment and IT, e.g. telephone, computer with standard software, fax, copier, printers etc., to access, input and verify information
  • Literate and numerate with proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other office applications
  • Experience within the construction industry (Desirable)
  • If you don’t have the specific Streetworks experience, but are an accomplished administrator with a desire to learn a new specialism, then we’d liketo hear from you
