Job Description

Sports Coach / Cover Supervisor

  • Job Type: Temporary (Day-to-day or Longer-term)
  • Location: Leeds and surrounding areas

Are you a Sports Coach with a flexible schedule looking to enrich the lives of 11-16-year-olds Reed is expanding our team of Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants to work within schools across Leeds. This role is an excellent fit for those with a backgroundin sports coaching or individuals currently studying sports studies who are eager to gain classroom experience. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Supervise secondary students during both practical and theory-based PE lessons.
  • Deliver pre-planned work set by the permanent teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
  • Utilise your coaching skills to manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Provide motivational support and guidance to students during their learning activities.
  • Adapt to various educational settings, offering flexibility and reliability to the schools you support.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience working with young people, particularly in a sports or educational context.
  • Level 2 or 3 qualification related to education or sports coaching is desirable but not essential.
  • A strong passion for sports and the ability to inspire and educate young minds.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage groups effectively.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning.
