Job Description

Solutions Architect / Presales Engineer (Cisco Networking)We are looking for a highly skilled network solutions architect / presales engineer to design / architect secure, enterprise networks and create risilient solutions based around the customer requirements. They will predominantly be Cisco based and so experience with Cisco networks - Routing, Switching and Security is essential, though other vendor experience would also be beneficialThe role is a mix of Network Design/Architecture and Technical Presales Consultancy - consulting with customers to understand their requirements, preparing technical proposals and tenders and turning the customer needs in to robust solutions. Your experience should ideally include:

  • Cisco ASA, ISE, Firepower, IPSec
  • Nexus / Catalyst Switches and Cisco Routers
  • VOIP / Unified Communications
  • Knowledge of a wide range of routing protocols including BGP and MPLS
  • Excellent client facing skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ideally you will have experience working for an IT Solutions provider or come from a Telecoms or ISP environment.
  • Any of the following would be highly beneficial: CCNA/CCNP/CCDA/CCDP/CCIE
  • Demonstrable experience in a Technical Presales Engineer / Solutions Architect / Technical Consultancy role
  • Knowledge of other network/security vendor technologies, e.g. Fortinet, Checkpoint, Aruba, Palo Alto
    • Driving license is essential for this role as there will be the requirement to visit customers on site at times. The successful solutions architect / presales consultant must also be able to obtain DBS clearance. Required skills
