We work in a support focussed environment, enabling everyone to be the best that they can be in line with their abilities and career aspirations.We are an inclusive and equal opportunities employer, and we encourage applications from any background.THE TEAM AND ROLE The Social Housing Finance property team deal with the property due diligence work required for the charging of residential properties owned by Registered Providers (Housing Associations) as security for facilities, bond issues and private placements. The team work on a range of transactions from single tranches of charging to bilateral facilities to multi lender large scale refinancing/restructurings/mergers or debt capital markets transactions. Charging transactions can range from a little as 10 properties to upwards to of 15,000 properties. The securitisation process involves drafting and agreeing charging documentation, drafting or reviewing certificates and reports on title, dealing with satisfaction of conditional precedent and reviewing property search reports and title documents. Other work includes, but is not limited to, reporting on Section 106 agreements, dealing with release transactions, valuation uplift exercises and stock swaps. The team embraces an agile working policy and provides training on an ongoing basis from our sector specialist knowledge lawyer.OUR REQUIREMENTSIf you are searching for something a bit different and would like the opportunity to join a thriving and growing team, Addleshaw Goddard are looking to recruit a Social Housing Finance lawyer to join our property team who is experienced in social housing property or has a strong residential conveyancing/property background.Social Housing Finance experience is useful but is not essential. We are looking for a candidate who has experience dealing with residential property work such as drafting certificates/reports on title, reviewing title documents and reviewing property search reports.Although the role is based in Leeds our Social Housing Finance team is cross office and the property team collaborates with all AG offices.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDYou will:* be a qualified lawyer with 0 to 2 years PQE* have residential property/conveyancing experience* have experience reviewing land registry title documents and property search reports* have the ability to actively support complex transactions, liaising and coordinating with fee earners from other relevant disciplines as needed* the enthusiasm to develop our business and market to clients* the patience and experience to develop junior associates, trainees and paralegals in the teamTHE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:* Excellent academic achievement with a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent* Strong commercial awareness - but most importantly a willingness to learn and a genuine interest in real estate* Residential property experience* Excellent organisation skills* A proven team worker
