Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps Infrastructure Terraform AWS CI/CD). As a Site Reliability Engineer youll join a close-knit, highly collaborative team that brings together software and systems engineering to build and run large scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems deployed to AWS. Youll play a critical role in the companys technical ecosystem through constructing a high-level overview of how systems relate to each other, with a specific focus on efficiency and automation. Youll carryout blameless post-mortems and will help to proactively identify potential outages, continually iterating to make improvements.This is a high-impact role where youll work across the full lifecycle, from inception and design to deployment, operation and refinement. Through system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews youll support the services before they go live, and once they are live youll monitor and measure availability, latency and overall system health with a focus on scalability. Youll have the opportunity to influence technical discussions, decisions and strategy, and will have the opportunity to grow and develop more junior team members through mentoring. *Please note: this company is able to offer a remote interview, onboarding and 100% work from home until Spring 2021, with 3 - 4 days a week WfH going forward. When in the office, youll be part of a vibrant team environment with fantastic catering, games rooms and quiet spaces* Requirements:*You have experience in a similar DevOps / SRE / Infrastructure role*You have a good appreciation of IaC (Infrastructure as Code), CI/CD and modern tooling such as Terraform, Concourse, Jenkins*You have monitoring and Tracing experience - youll be using Prometheus and Honeycomb *You have good knowledge of AWS *You can script (or code ideally) with Python, Go, Perl, Ruby, C, C++ or Java *You have good knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis and software design *Youre familiar with DevOps environments / Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)*Youre a proactive and collaborative team player who is happy to step into the lead role on projects and provide mentoringAs a Site Reliability Engineer you will earn a highly competitive salary (to £100k) plus a comprehensive benefits package.
