Job Description

Permanent position - LeedsBecoming part of a global Technical Consultancy, you will be supportingour client’s journey to becoming the next generation supplier into Secure Government, Public Sector and Health. Not only will you grow with their business, they will give you the tools and development to be successful, so that you can meet your career goals and ambitions.Why Secure Government and Health:This portfolio of customers is diverse and cover work supporting UKs most important, meaningful and interesting projects, from working on Track & Trace in the NHS, Re-platforming large biometrics databases in the Home Office to Digitising the MoD.As an expert Service Designer, you will:

  • use research evidence and design knowledge to negotiate with senior stakeholders, to achieve good health outcomes for the public
  • translate strategic organisational goals into objectives that can be understood by designers
  • advocating for inclusive practices across the organisation and wider health & care system
  • contribute to the development of the culture of the design profession, such as organising professional conferences, informal local design meetings and workshops, and online discussions
  • develop tools and artefacts for wider use (e.g. design principles, design policies)
  • represent the design profession at organisational level and be part of senior leadership meetings and discussions.
  • You will be:
  • an expert designer, with experience of setting the design direction for other designers to follow
  • be able to guide, support and influence people from diverse professions
  • experienced in service design at a senior practitioner level, and have a solid understanding of interaction design
  • able to co-ordinate the design function within teams responsible for distinct products, to deliver cohesive services
  • specialised in user-centred design practices, with a focus on accessibility and inclusive design
  • experienced in leading user-centred design in an agile, multidisciplinary teams
  • experienced in a relevant working environment or have qualifications equivalent to a master’s level.
