Senior Test Analyst

Job Description

The <Performance Tester> role is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of performance test strategies and projects. You will provide specialist expertise knowledge on API and UI based performance activities which involve assisting stakeholderswith gathering NFRs, writing and running performance scripts, and analysing performance test results which you will then report back to managers and stakeholders.Business FunctionEquiniti Credit Services develops market leading applications for the finance industry. • Good understanding of performance testing process and good practices.
• Able to analyse complex performance data and report results.
• Strong knowledge of UI and API based test automation.
• Ability to write and run performance test scripts using JMeter.
• Expertise using a programming language (C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Groovy, etc)

Core Duties / Responsibilities

• Performing End-to-End system, regression and UAT.
• Contributing to a fully automated test and continuous delivery system.
• Supporting Head of Testing with implementing the Test Automation Strategy.
• Design and create test conditions and scripts to address business and technical use cases.
• Working closely with Project Teams to create client facing Test Strategies and Test Cases.
• Oversee scheduled and ad hoc functional and regression testing of new and existing core functionality to ensure high quality standard are achieved at all times for all software releases.
• Clear reporting of the testing status through test execution.
• Maintenance of testing script checklist to ensure this is consistent with new or changed functionality as part of a software release to support the testing activity.
• Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate, using YouTrack or similar tools/means.

Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

• Excellent knowledge of API Testing.
• Experience of working within Agile SDLC processes, including TDD/BDD.
• Practical knowledge, experience and skills in use of automated testing tools and scripting languages, Gherkin/Specflow, TestComplete, TestExecute, Jmeter, VB script, JAVA Script, C#.
• Write and execute automation test scripts.
• Clear understanding and experience of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Testing (CT) approaches.
• Proven ability to create, plan and execute appropriate test plans for all types of change.
• Finance sector experience would be preferred and extremely advantageous, particularly UK consumer lending.
• Database skills, mainly in SQL Server.
• Must be flexible, independent and self-motivated.
