Job Description

Senior React Native developer - Up to £70,000 + Bonus scheme and 100% remote working What youll be doingYoull be joining the core software engineering team, designing, and building tech, but not just any tech. this tech really does help people daily and really does make a huge difference to peoples lives. You will work on the mobile app with a focus on usability,device integrations and algorithm deployment. You will build ground-breaking software that: deploys incredibly advanced Machine Learning models (developed by the ML team); captures data directly from the latest medical sensors; protects patients most sensitivedata. You will work with an outstanding, truly multidisciplinary team to make this software accessible in the most remote communities for non-medical users.The tech stack:

  • Javascript for our backend and front-end code
  • GraphQL for our API interface
  • React/Redux for our doctor-facing web applications
  • React Native/Redux and Android for our offline-first mobile application
  • AWS for our cloud infrastructure (mostly based on RDS, S3 and serverless Lambda functions)
  • Tensorflow Lite for running machine learning models on device
  • Bluetooth LE for communicating with multiple medical devices
What it takes
  • Proficiency with Javascript and at least one native mobile language (Java/Kotlin/Swift/Objective C (> 5 years))
  • Experience designing and evolving large-scale React Native applications (> 2 years)
  • Familiarity with native build tools, like Gradle, Android Studio, XCode and experience with native platform SDKs
  • Comprehensive understanding of mobile testing methodologies
  • Excited by a challenge: Interested in getting out of your comfort zone and apply your expertise to an offline-first React Native mobile app, with ML models running on device
  • Demonstrated passion for great design and user experience
Nice to have
  • Some experience writing server-side Javascript with node.js
  • Experience integrating external devices or sensors with mobile apps using 3rd party SDKs
  • Worked in a regulated industry before (e.g., medical devices, quality management system)
  • Deployed machine learning models (on device and/or as a cloud service)
