Job Description

The vacancy represents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst seeking a new and interesting challenge, offering the autonomy to build-out a robust data analytics function from relative scratch.You will be focus on all things data, providing cutting edge analysis and data driven insight to ensure business proposals / activities are accurate, commercially sound and focused on improving commercial performance.The successful candidate will be highly numerate and experienced interrogating mass data sets, showcasing skills to present complex analysis in a meaningful & easy to understand format that will drive effective decision making. It is an optimal time to join the business, offering healthy scope to shape the role aligned to business objectives.Selection of responsibilities

  • Interrogation and analysis of current customer and sales database, gathering and reporting on key performance trends, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Develop a robust reporting framework, able to gather strategic insights on customer segments, contact centre performance and sales channel ROI.
  • Support new product or business cases delivery with relevant data to support go no-go decision making.
  • Play a lead role in identifying, evaluating and implementing external data services, tools and applications to support best practice data quality and validation.
  • Build-out and champion an effective data visualisation capability into the business (Power BI), developing effective dashboards and performance visuals.
  • Collaborate with 3rd party data providers, providing data led insight and feedback on data integrity, quality and content.
  • Build and maintain an effective competitor analysis framework.
  • Work with customer operations and marketing functions to develop a quality customer analytics tool, capturing data that can improve customer journey.
  • Proactively identify areas to automate data led processes and increase business efficiencies.
  • Respond to ad-hoc data requests as required
  • Support the growth of the Analytics function aligned to business growth and headcount objectives.
    • Skills
  • Demonstrable experience working with large data sets, ideally within a mass customer centric environment (customer sales data, contact centre MI / sales channel data)
  • Advanced Business Intelligence reporting & data visualisation skills
  • Experienced using analysis to make change happen, using high quality analysis to drive actionable insight.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to articulate simple solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to work on own initiative with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experienced using at least 1 industry leasing BI tool (SQL, Business Objects, SAS, SPSS)
  • Previous experience using data visualising tools, ideally Power BI
