Senior Motor Claims AdjusterLocation: Leeds.Salary: Competitive salary depending on skills and experience.Contract: Full time, permanent.Benefits including: 25 days holiday (rising with length of service), 10% employers pension contribution, PMI, PHI, life assurance, employee assistance programme.About us:Armour is a growing and dynamic business operating in the global insurance and reinsurance market, focusing on the United States, UK, Continental Europe and Bermuda. Currently with multi UK offices including London, Cirencester and Leeds, we have ambitious expansion plans and look to recruit determined and enthusiastic people to our hard-working team.About the Role:We are recruiting for a Senior Claims Adjuster (Motor), to be based from either our Leeds or London office. You will work within a small team to pro-actively handle a portfolio of high value motor claims. This will include a significant number of large and catastrophic loss bodily injury cases with a value in excess of £100k. You will work within your own authority level and criteria, whilst referring cases in excess of this, to the Claims Manager. You will be liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, to ensure that the claims are settled within the reserving limits, and in line with Armours procedures and philosophy.Key technical skills, knowledge, professional qualifications required:• Ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar claims adjusting role.• Experience of handling motor claims involving liability disputes.• Accurate, reliable, with excellent attention to detail and an analytical approach.• Understanding and experience of all regulatory issues an advantage (FSA, Data Protection etc.).• Production of high quality written work product essential.Key personal skills required:• Ability to organise workload, under pressure, whilst meeting tight deadlines.• Ability to work on own initiative.• Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, including Excel.• Effective investigation and negotiation skills.• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, demonstrated by experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders.• Ability to develop and maintain solid working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.Special requirements:• A requirement to work from different office locations, as required.• This role is subject to a background criminal record check, and will be subject to a Basic DBS check.
