Job Description

  • Working with the support of the Head of Marketing to bring the strategic vision and values to life Create awareness of the festival through storytelling and integrated marketing
  • Developing a strong understanding of key audiences and how the festival meets their needs
  • Working closely with the programming and development (funding) teams to support them to reach their objectives
  • Overseeing the marketing budget and tracking spend to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Work closely with major funders and sponsors to deliver agreed marketing outcomes and to maximise branding opportunities
  • Track all interactions and measure success through the use of booking systems, tracking systems, surveys, focus groups, and third parties to supply accurate and reliable statistics on visitors, artists, schoolchildren, volunteers, book sales etc; foreachannual cycle
  • The role requires flexibility of working hours and patterns, particularly at programming deadline points of delivery, and a driving license and own vehicle is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
  • A minimum 3-years proven track record, with at least one year as Senior Marketing Executive/Marketing Management, at a festival, arts / cultural organisation, or a large-scale B2C event.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing a computerised/online box office
  • Knowledge and experience of customer and audience surveys and analysis
  • Experience managing relationships with external bodies, agencies, and suppliers
  • Experience of effectively managing and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously while under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly when required, particularly during the core festival period
  • Comprehensive IT knowledge, including Microsoft Office, and Mac
  • Passionate about the transformational power of the arts
