Job Description

Role: Senior Procurement Manager - OperationsLocation: Leeds Base Location, with 3 days in officeSalary: c.£85,000 and excellent benefits packageIm working on behalf of a services based organisation, who are supporting the transformation and promotion of business in local economies. This is an exciting and dynamic organisation, and you will be part of the process of further developing their efficiency.We are recruiting for a Senior Procurement Manager who will be responsible for leading a operational procurement team.The role will take responsibility for managing the operational procurement process, P2P, and overseeing its perfortmance. You will lead and mentor the team, as well as developing and managing the transactional procurement processes. This is a growing anddeveloping organisation and the role offers a great opportunity for you to be part of building and developing a team, and progressing your career by implementing new processes and delivering an effective procurement service.

  • You will have experience of leading an operational procurement team, developing, implemenmting, reviewing and reporting on transactional procurement processes.
  • Managing and supporting stakeholders through the procurement process.
  • Onboarding suppliers and managing their performance.
  • Contributing to supplier/category strategy.
  • Managing and developing Procure to Pay systems.
  • Building and developing professional procurement functions, and instilling best practice.
  • Experience in public sector procurement would be ideal.
