Job Description

As Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will join the IT Systems Team who look after all the Internal IT at for the organisation, this ranges from support of Mac/Windows/Linux of laptops, through to software support, networking integration support and some AWS support.Client DetailsOur client is a leading software, IT and Digital engineering consultancy. They are one of the UKs most successful consultancys supporting clients solve hard technical problems in a wide variety of domains using a diverse set of technology stacks.DescriptionWhat youll be doing:As Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in within an experienced IT Systems Team. You will be expected to use your expertise and knowledge to influence and help develop technology solutions with the business and within IT Systems, while supporting members from across the business at consultants to director level.You will be working on 100% cloud based systems with a chance to work with some of the latest Tech. You should be hands-on with anything technical, bringing in-depth knowledge and experience of supporting modern IT systems and services. The role involves integrating, troubleshooting, configuring and administering our systems, but more importantly proactively supporting colleagues to help them solve their problems in a friendly manner. As a senior member of the team youll also play an important role in supporting the IT Systems Manager in their role.ProfileYour skills and experience:Essential:

  • A strong technical background in IT Support. You should have experience of a range of modern systems, from Mac/Windows/Linux and ability to fault find and quickly locate the potential issue.
  • Have security in mind at all times. As we deploy and fix any solution, you will think carefully about any security implications and ensure that any concerns are addressed.
    • Additional:
  • Experience of GSuite, AWS, GCP, Salesforce, Kimble, BambooHR would be beneficial but not essential. Management, configuration and supporting integration with these is a key part of the role.
  • Any coding experience would be beneficial but not essential.
    • Your Attributes:
  • Forward thinking & willingness to learn, wed like you to think outside of the box, improve the current IT Systems team processes to make them the most efficient and best experience for end users.
  • Not afraid to get things wrong. Youll be willing to get stuck in and not afraid to ask for help when needed, where mistakes are made, youll quickly learn and adapt.
  • Great communication and compassion. Be comfortable talking technically with our consultants and non-technical staff alike, be able to describe issues in a clear and concise manner at the right level and treat people with respect.
  • A strong sense of ownership and personal responsibility. Helping show others in the team the best working practices, think about how we can work smarter and do things differently. Owning any problems and proactively preventing recurrence of issues.
  • Motivation for helping others. You should be motivated to help others from all backgrounds and walks of life in a polite and friendly way.
