Barclay Simpson has been exclusively engaged by a large construction services business to assist with the expansion of their new SOx controls function as they transition from a co-source to an in-house model. This expansion includes the newly created positionof Senior Internal Auditor (SOx). You will be required to go into the Leeds office 1-2 days/week.Reporting directly into the SOx Controls Manager, you will play a key role in the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the SOx control environment. You will lead the testing of design & operational effectiveness of all in-scope controls covering financialreporting & business process, then work closely with global control owners to remediate any deficiencies to ensure controls are operating effectively by year-end. You will also get involved in any new system implementations as well as gain exposure to IT controlstesting.You will hold a relevant qualification (ACA/ACCA) and have recent exposure to SOx, either from an external audit or internal audit perspective. Prior experience in Big 4/Top 10 is preferred and candidates looking to make their first move into industry willbe considered. You must have strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn.
