Job Description

Location: Hybrid WFH with occasional travel to Leeds OfficeSalary: £40k to £48kSector: IT, Data, RetailHaving continually scaled up operations since 2005 thanks to a unique blend of engineering, mathematical and algorithmic expertise, the business we are working for deliver innovative and insight-driven data analytics to some of the worlds largest retailorganisations and CPGs.Now at a stage where theyre ready to take the brand to the next step, theyre looking to ramp up the analytics branch of their business and need a Senior Insight Analyst with thorough leadership skills to join them.With you taking charge of a team of up to three expert analysts that will look to you for guidance and support, youll bring a keen sense of leadership and strategic thinking into this role and will use your deep understanding of customer requirements tocreate and deliver deep, actionable insights for the brands impressive client list across the globe.What will you be doing

  • Collaborate with the Insight Manager and manage your team of analysts
  • Establish yourself as an expert in customer data that the Customer and Customer Relationship Manager can look to for support
  • Strive to solve client issues and ensure root causes are dealt with quickly and effectively
  • Utilise your knowledge of data and products to create valuable insights for customers, with a core aim of promoting the value of the business products
  • Communicate with engineering teams on potential software changes (particularly version release)
  • Proactively provide insights on performance KPIs with timely communication to the client
  • Remain aware of potential BD opportunities through exploration of current customer solutions.
What skills do you need to succeed
  • Up to 4+ years experience in a similar analytical role
  • Highly skilled communicator that can adeptly speak and present ideas to stakeholders
  • Experience managing at least one other analyst
  • Advanced tech skillet with Excel, SQL and Power BI.
  • Background using analytics/data to provide improvements, solutions, and profits to clients
  • Educated to degree level, preferable in a numerate subject
  • Skilled in the following tech: R, Python, Tableau, Google Cloud Platform including Big Query, SSRS, SSIS, SAS, SPSS
  • Highly skilled communicator that can adeptly speak and present ideas to stakeholders
  • Basic understanding of retail operations and processes
  • Prior background working in a retail or FMCG company (not necessarily required but useful)
