Job Description

Exciting opportunity available to work for a fast growing gaming business who are #1 in their market and are now looking to extend their reach. Our client have just kickstarted a huge recruitment drive to expand their software development team due to the great success this year. The focus is now on Senior developers who can come into the team and use their expertise and knowledge to really increase the overall capacity of the engineering team. Training and upskilling can be provided to ultimately drive the businesses forward with their ambitions to become number one.Some of your key responsibilities as the Senior Frontend Developer will include but aren’t limited to:

  • Managing a small team of two junior engineers
  • Design and build platform-based features in different phases like gathering requirements, breaking them down into tasks, doing research, working with the design team, implementing and maintaining the product, influencing architecture decisions, and doing code reviews
  • Optimise our customer journeys to ensure that our customers can access their favourite sports and gaming products with ease, focussing on world-class mobile and desktop experience
  • Utilise your intuitive design and coding expertise to push forward the ambitions of the company.
  • Develop new components and seeing through the entire SDLC.
  • Participate in peer design and code review to identify best steps forward.
  • Play a part in refactoring in order to keep the platform and the company flexible and adaptable.
  • Set a great example by ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Mentor junior colleagues, lead technical presentations to management.
    • We are looking for Senior Frontend Developers who have the following skills and experience:
  • Experience with JavaScript and is familiar with React/Vue/Angular and Typescript.
  • Knows how to write clean, maintainable and well-tested code that adheres to best practices, with an emphasis on performance, scalability.
  • Has some experience with Vuex/MobX/Redux and Server-side rendering.
  • Is willing to learn new technologies.
  • Has great experience in designing, developing, and scaling Web applications.
  • Possesses knowledge and a passion for developing skills in AWS (CloudFormation, EC2, S3, Cognito).
  • Has a real eagerness to learn and work with Erlang.
  • Know-how in the full product lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of distribution systems.
  • Experience in working with multiple data sources/ messaging systems.
