Job Description

Senior Ecologist - LeedsThis is a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Ecologist to join a leading environmental, planning and engineering consultancy. My company provides range of connected environmental assessment services across all stages of a development, this includes ecology,air quality, planning, construction management, transport and more!They are currently on the lookout for an experienced Senior Ecologist to join the team.Responsibilities:

  • Lead on projects as well as working part of a team.
  • Carry out habitat and protected species surveys including, bats, newts, and dormice.
  • Advising clients of constraints and survey requirements.
  • Write reports and mitigate issue.
  • Liaise with, site managers, engineers, planners, and other associates.
  • Compiling technical reports and findings.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements:
  • Degree in ecology, forestry, environmental science, or related subject.
  • Ideally, CIEEM member.
  • At least 6 years experience working for a UK based Consultancy.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Habitat Surveys and Protected Species Surveys.
  • Hold at least one Natural England protected species licence.
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.
  • Hold a valid CSCS card.
  • A full clean UK driving licence.
