Sacco Mann are recruiting for a senior disease fee earner to join a leading NIHL team in Leeds. The role will involve dealing with complex pre-litigated NIHL claims with a focus on Ministry of Defence claims; experience dealing with MoD claims is preferred.This role requires in-depth knowledge of MoD claims, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Responsibilities:Claims Management: Manage a caseload of pre-litigated noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) claims with particular focus on Ministry of Defence work, ensuring compliance with internal and external service standards.Initial Case Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of new MoD NIHL claims, reviewing medical records, witness statements, and other relevant documentation to evaluate the potential strength and viability of the case.Evidence Gathering: Undertake comprehensive investigations to gather necessary evidence, including instructing medical experts, obtaining witness statements, and liaising with relevant parties.Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research pertaining to the claims, including relevant case law, statutes, and regulations, to provide accurate advice and guidance to clients.Negotiation and Settlement: Engage in effective negotiation with clients and thirs par representatives, insurance companies, and other involved parties to secure fair and favourable settlements for clients.Client Communication: Maintain regular and transparent communication with clients, providing updates on case progress, explaining legal processes, and offering advice and guidance throughout the claims process.Document Management: Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of case files, documentation, and relevant systems, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.Compliance: Adhere to internal policies, procedures, and quality standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including MoD claims protocols.Requirements:
