Job Description

Senior Data ScientistLeeds£40,000 to £60,000 + benefitsOur client, a respected composite insurer, is currently looking for a Senior Data Scientist.Working within the Pricing team, the successful candidate will be keen to implement change, and will have strong experience in Python, R, SAS, Emblem, Radar and SQL.Responsibilities

  • Develop data science techniques and best practice predictive models.
  • Develop predictive models in an agile delivery environment.
  • Build up an in-depth knowledge of the tools used in the Data Science team e.g. Python, R, SAS, Emblem, Radar and SQ, etc.
  • Analyse and assess new features.
  • Automate, streamline and document processes, in order to make them as efficient as possible.
  • Make reasonable progress towards obtaining professional qualifications e.g. Data Science MSc Actuarial exams, etc.
    • Requirements
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role.
  • A keen interest in Pricing and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) in a numerical subject.
