Job Description

Sales Executive - Hardware & ComponentsJob Title: Sales Executive - Hardware & ComponentsIndustry Sector: Construction, Automotive, Marine, OEM, Manufacturing, Furniture Manufacturers, Field Sales, B2B Sales, Hardware, Components, KBB Hardware, Architectural Hardware, Industrial Sales, Industrial & DistributionAreas to be covered: a) North & b) South of ThamesRemuneration: £25,000 - £28,000 + up to £8,000 bonusBenefits: £5,400 car allowance & benefits packageThe role of the Sales Executive - Hardware & Components will involve:

  • Field sales role, selling a manufactured and distributed rage of hardware products and components including; hinges, handles, catches, hooks, brackets, fasteners and knobs
  • 60% of your time selling into the KBB hardware sector (including large retailers, hotels etc), 40% other industries such as industrial, automotive, marine, manufacturing, OEM, distributors etc.
  • Opportunity to join a growing business and make a name for yourself
  • Managing client accounts ranging from £1,000-£100,000 depending on size and scope
  • No dedicated sales target for this position, due to long sales cycles you will be targeted on KPIs such as customer visits (typically 20 per week) and the update of their CRM system
  • Mixture of new business development and account management
The ideal applicant will be a Sales Executive - Hardware & Components with:
  • B2B field sales experience is not essential but may be advantageous
  • Our client is open to graduates or bright, articulate sales people looking to get out on the road (field sales) for the first time
  • Some understanding of associated products to hardware or components may be useful
  • Open to various industries including; KBB, furniture manufacture, construction, manufacturing, industrial, automotive etc.
  • Must be able to create long term relationships and loyalty
  • Passionate with a hunger to learn
  • Ideally with some higher education
  • Specific knowledge of hardware products hinges, handles, catches, hooks, brackets, fixings, fasteners and knobs is not essential
