Sales Development Manager – Builders Merchant (Internal OR External)Bradford£30,000 - £45,000 Basic Salary£50,000+ On Target EarningsCar, Phone, Laptop, Pension, Bonus based on Branch PerformanceThis firm are looking for someone with extensive knowledge and experience within the builder’s merchant trade in order to assist our growth moving forward. We need someone who is very entrepreneurial and creative for this role as it will be heavily involved with both branch and national improvements from something so simple as displays right up to a national product introduction project.The role will be heavily focused on supporting your accounts and finding out how you can increase the spend through additional areas you can offer them. Once again, if this is something they do not currently supply, it will be your role to work out if this will be financially viable to introduce to the catalogue range or as a tailor-made solution made for a handful of customers.The hired candidate will be selling Building Materials into a range of end-user industries such as joiners, house buildings, general builders as well as someone who can notice gaps in the market, work with the stock team and introduce new ideas, products and routes to market to better not only the Yorkshire division but the group on a National basis.Key Responsibilities• Coming up with innovative ways to increase your personal growth with the business, to expand on the product portfolio and to increase market share• Booking and attending customer meetings in West Yorkshire• To ensure that building materials sales meet Business Units targets and leads to market share growth in line with our purpose and values.• To develop building products / construction knowledge amongst colleagues so the company is seen as the destination of choice for building solutions by both existing and new customers.• Developing the existing pipeline of customers• Liaising with internal teams on quotes, enquiries and stock• Management of business databases consisting of builders, specifiers, architects and joiners.• Ensure customers are kept in the loop throughout the entire project including delivery times, any product issues, new product introductions and so on.• Handling complaints from customers in an appropriate manner• Working with suppliers and keeping in touch with them regularly to ensure needs are met• Preparing and delivering on sales targets on a quarterly and monthly basis• Planning and preparing meetings for both customers and your line manager for updates• Ensuring all areas have been covered - sales, H&S, staff costs, profit, gross margins and stock.• Regularly monitor customer spends and analyse who is spending what, where and when in order to generate a solid plan of action for the remainder of your working career with the business• Full account management working as a 360 salesman• Keeping an eye on competition and upcoming market trends then putting a plan in place on how to introduce new products and who will be your target audience for thisThank you for reading & your application.Please contact me if you have the above experience / require more information on .Kind Regards,Shannon CloughCommercial Permanent Consultant - LeedsInteraction Recruitment plc24b Lands LaneLeedsLS1 6LB
