Our single centre of excellence has significant advantages in termsof developing a strong team-based, collaborative culture, with the inherent cost effectiveness that a Leeds base brings.We are currently looking to recruit aRevenue Controls Executive to join our Finance department working both remotely and at our head office in Leeds.Job Purpose:Providing analysis of the Firms work in progress (WIP) and sharing key messages with the business to help appropriately manage Working Capital. Support the roll out of internal processes relating to client rates to maximise the Firms efficiency in generatingrevenue.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Analysis of Working Capital1 Meet with fee earners to perform a detailed review of their WIP balances, ensuring that actions to bill or write off WIP are followed up promptly by fee earners or secretaries as agreed.2 Provide up to date information to the business to support timely billing of WIP and assist the wider Commercial Finance team in improving the reporting of WIP to the firm.3 Support the design and roll out of any new software to enhance WIP management across the Firm (e.g. additional Aderant modules).4 Effectively communicate findings from WIP meetings across the Finance team; e.g. Financial Reporting team to support an appropriate WIP valuation and the Credit Control team to inform credit risk.Client Rates5 Ensure that client requirements for billing are actioned by working with lawyered and business services teams.6 Support the Billing Team Leader in the design and implementation of more robust processes for capturing rates information from the business.7 Perform regular checks on rates data to ensure the information is complete and accurate, following up queries with lawyered teams, and working with the Finance Business Partner to provide recommendations.Wider Responsibilities8 Working with other members of the Commercial Finance Team on matter budgeting and financial management.9 Ad hoc / proactive analysis to support the rest of the Decision Support team.10 Support the Finance team in developing Trusted Advisor status with the business.Information SecurityTo ensure that information is handled in accordance with the firms policies and procedures relating toinformation security.To encourage a security conscious culture within the firm, by supporting and engaging with the firms initiatives.To proactively and promptly report any concerns/issues relating to information security.To assist the firm in achieving its security objectives which are published in the Information Security Manual on Reach.PERSON SPECIFICATIONQualifications:Educated to G.C.S.E/O Level standard or equivalent in at least 4 subjects including Mathematics and English.Experience:Knowledge and experience of working in a finance department.Familiarity with Solicitors Accounts Rules would be desirable but not essential.Skills:Good IT skills, to include in depth experience of Excel, plus good working knowledge of Word and Outlook.Good organisational skillsExcellent interpersonal skills to enable the job holder to liaise at all levels within the Department and within the firm generally.Good written and oral communication skills.Personal Qualities:Excellent attention to detail and analytical abilitiesCan operate flexibly as part of a teamBe open to changeSelf-motivated with a high level of enthusiasm and commitmentUnderstand the importance of and demonstrate a professional and commercial attitude and approach at all timesCommitted to development of both self and teamProactive when dealing with staff and partners and in the operation of Finance policiesDemonstrate high levels of integrityValues:The Firm has 5 Core Values which all candidates and new employees should understand and be able to demonstrate.
