Research Technician - NIHR Leeds Clinical Research Facility and Leeds Biobanking and Sample Processing Laboratory This is a fixed term post until the end of March 2022 (with the possibility of extension)Do you have experience in working with patient clinical samples Would you enjoy contributing as part of a team to ensuring high quality sample processing to support clinical trials and research studies If so, we would love to hear from you as we have an exciting opportunity within the Leeds Clinical Research Facility and Leeds Biobanking and Sample Processing Laboratory (LBSPL) team.You will provide technical support and advice, particularly with regard to processing and/or banking of clinical samples such as blood, urine and tissue, working closely with colleagues in the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and the University of Leeds. This covers processing according to study-specific protocols, banking and retrieval/shipping as needed, within both clinical trials and research studies and in relation to local Research Tissue Banks (RTB).About us: NIHR Leeds Clinical Research Facility carries out high quality early phase and experimental clinical trials to help new treatments and tests reach patients more quickly. We work with industry, research councils and charities to run over 300 early stage, experimental or complex trials each year. We provide a welcoming, professional and safe environment for patients taking part in our trials, supported by clinical services within Leeds Teaching Hospitals. Studies requiring translational sample processing are integrated with the LBSPL and include a wide range of disease specialties.
