Job Description Walter Everett is a recruitment company and we are currently recruiting a React Developer for a position based in Either London or Leeds. What you’ll do:- Assist the UX designers in our user experience lab to create robust well tested user interfaces.- Work closely with the UI designers to bring the design to life.- Embrace working with a wide range of technologies, including but not limited to ReactJS, NodeJS, Java, Scala, Docker, and Kubernetes.- Practice and drive the best technology and software development practices into the team with passion and enthusiasm.- Utilise pair-programming on a regular basis and mentor less experienced developers where appropriate.- Actively participate in some of the administrative activities within the team, i.e. recruitment, work planning and estimation, release planning, etc.What you’ll bring:- Experienced UI React developer with Node.js, Docker and Kubernetes knowledge.- Understanding of Node.js resiliency and optimisations for high capacity, high traffic, high availability websites.- Contribute to internal CSS Toolkit adopting atomic design methodology.- Coach the Feature Squads on automated end-to-end web testing and visual regression and advocate of TDD and BDD practices.- Exemplary communication and people skills, in a technical and non-technical context.- Ability to function in an environment characterised by high complexity with limited guidance.- A passion for Agile methodologies and concepts such as Scrum, XP, Lean, and Kanban.Locations - Leeds or LondonSalary negotiable depending on skills and experience
