R&D ChemistA new and unique opportunity has become available for a Junior R&D Chemist to join a R&D focused company that develops and manufactures chemicals and raw materials for a wide range of applications. The role will involve custom organic synthesis activities. This is great opportunity for graduates with a passion for organic synthesis to enter the industry. This position is based in West Yorkshire. The Role: Design and develop chemistry for custom synthesis projects Produce specialist products for customers Process scale-up and transfer from R&D to manufacturing operations Carry out and accurately record data analysis and characterisation Work efficiently in the laboratory to meet project deadlines Prepare written reports for internal and external useThe Candidate: Candidates will have a BSc, MSc or pHD in Chemistry or related discipline Candidates should have an interest in organic chemistry Experience of carrying out organic synthesis projects would be desirable Able to interpret analytical results and create formal experimental write ups Operate safely and confidently in a lab environment Must also be self-motivated and able to run projects with minimal supervision
