Quantity Surveyor - RestorationJob Title: Quantity Surveyor / Estimator - RestorationIndustry Sector: Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Estimation, Natural Stone Cladding, Interior Stone, Glass Reinforced Concrete, Granite, Marble, Quartz, Exterior Stone, Stone Products, Natural Stone, Architectural Stone, Stone Masons, Refurbishment, Masonry,Conservation, Restoration, Building Restoration, Stone Restoration, Main Contractors, Sub Contractors, DevelopersLocation: West YorkshireRemuneration: £50,000 - £60,000 (DOE) + discretionary bonusBenefits: Full benefits packageThe role of the Quantity Surveyor / Estimator - Stone Restoration will involve:

  • Quantity Surveyor / Estimator position managing the financial aspect of multiple restoration projects
  • Carrying out project cost estimation considering all relevant factors such as materials, labour, equipment and subcontractors
  • Manage the tender process, prepare tender documents, evaluation of bids, and negotiation with suppliers and contractors
  • Implement cost control measures, monitor project costs, and provide regular reports to stakeholders on budget performance, cost variances, and financial projections
  • Conduct accurate quantity take-offs and measurements of building elements, materials and labour requirements
  • Regularly liaise with Project Managers, Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors and other stake holders to ensure smooth running of projects
The ideal applicant will be a Quantity Surveyor - Stone Restoration with:
  • Must have Quantity Surveyor / Estimator experience within the restoration market sector
  • Ideally will have experience in restoration, masonry, conservation, façade cleaning, stonework, statue protection, surveys, brickwork, building restoration, masonry conservation etc
  • Able to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Must have excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Self-motivated individual
  • High levels of organisation and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving license
