Job Description

About UK Infrastructure BankWe are the new, government-owned policy bank - launched in June 2021 - providing £22bn of infrastructure finance and partnering with the private sector and local government to finance a green industrial revolution and drive growth across the United Kingdom.We are looking for skilled and results oriented individuals who are motivated to help us build the UKIB into an industry-leading institution.Job PurposeA Subject Matter Expert (SME) who is responsible for leading all the Test and Quality Assurance activities across all information systems for the bank.Core role accountabilities:

  • Lead a centralised service providing Test and Quality Assurance expertise to all UKIB business areas so that the Bank delivers solutions in accordance with industry best practice.
  • Define the overall testing strategy for the Bank and lead the development and continuous improvement of the testing methodology and standards.
  • Manage, schedule and report on the testing progress of multiple projects at any one time.
  • Provide a test SME escalation and decision point for Operational and Change delivery teams ensuring risks, issues and decisions are fully evaluated, captured, and addressed.
  • Lead the Test team and federated resource to support the testing of all information systems across business area(s) through knowledge sharing, technical assurance, and adoption of best practice, so that solutions are delivered in a consistent manner.
  • Work directly with the Banks Senior Leaders, PMO and IT teams to ensure solutions align to support the delivery of strategic roadmaps and technical principles.
  • Provide test SME representation at design assurance and technical authority bodies to ensure design groups are considering testing approaches in all scenarios therefore avoiding unnecessary costs.
  • Responsible for creating and managing a catalogue of testing assets, their usage and high-quality documentation.
  • Be the primary liaison for business stakeholders and change delivery team(s) to effectively answer and resolve testing queries across the test life cycle for all information systems.
