Please visit strive . co . uk for additional roles across engineering, production, warehouse & transport operations.Purchasing & Stock Leader£27k - £30k + BenefitsLeedsOur client is a medium-sized, highly ethical, chilled food FMCG Distributor who is currently recruiting for a Purchasing & Stock Manager to manage dairy and bakery suppliers and stock management as well as sourcing and purchasing of all fresh goods dailyfollowing a 1pm cut off each day. Stock control and waste is also key measure.Ideal Candidate :A proven Purchasing & Stock manager, ideally have the ability to help implement new WMS and stock systems.Overall Purpose of Role:To source and manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure KPIS are met around quality, service and price.Key responsibilities:

  • New Supplier research and sourcing
  • Account management of key suppliers
  • Price and margin maintenance
  • Sourcing, purchasing and management of all product SKUs daily
  • Forecasting updated daily in line with product lead times
  • Inbound delivery schedule coordinated and communicated
  • Stock management and controls in place
  • Stock count daily and weekly
  • Waste management controls in place
  • Line management of stock control and picking team in the yard
  • Company systems and records updated with product cost prices.
  • KPIS reporting and analysis to create value and efficiency
  • Company financial systems updated with daily POs
  • Continuously improve operational effectiveness with strategic guidance from SMT.
Other responsibilities:
  • Ensure safe keeping of all people and company property, adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and raise any risks to HSEQ Team

  • Work together with any relevant key stakeholders, liaise with relevant business areas to agree interdependencies, share knowledge and best practice.
