Purchasing Expeditor£21-25K pa DOE, Perm role, 25 days Holiday pro rata, Cycle to Work Scheme, Discount SchemesLEEDSInteraction Recruitment are looking for an experienced Purchasing Expeditor/Administrator to work for their client, a busy Manufacturing company based in Leeds. Reporting to the Purchasing Team Leader your role will be to expedite materials and componentsfrom external vendors to meet production and service requirements, ensuring materials arrive on time, purchase of MRO and category C parts and general departmental support where required.Day to day duties will include:-Follow up the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery-Communicate the status of orders with internal customers-Place MRP orders for production-Interpreting shortage reports to identify future shortages-Convert Indirect Requests into Purchase Orders-Attend production meetings-Collate monthly Waste Disposal Records-Update Purchase Orders with supplier order confirmation-Update commodity material price tracker (LME)-Updating of purchasing spreadsheets when requiredKey skills and experience required for the role include:-Experience of expediting in manufacturing industry is essential-Able to demonstrate good communication skills, both internally and externally across all levels-Microsoft Excel/ Word and Outlook office skills-Ability to work under own initiative and within a team when required-SAP knowledge would be beneficialCore hours for this role are 8am to 4.30pm from Mon to Thurs with a 3.30pm finish on a Friday.
