Job Description

This contract role is working for a Global Manufacturing company in Horsforth as a Purchasing Administrator / Expeditor, you will work as part of a busy, growing Purchasing Team, this Purchasing Administrator / Expeditor role is due to growth and there isa strong chance of a permanent role after the 9 months contract.Salary: £24,000Holidays: 25 days, pro-rated plus stats, Pension: 7% company contribution, Flexible working and WFH and 3.30 Friday Finish!The role;

  • Follow up the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery and communicate the status of orders with internal customers
  • Place orders for production
  • Interpreting shortage reports to identify future shortages
  • Convert Requests into Purchase Orders
  • Attend production meetings
  • Collate monthly Waste Disposal Records
  • Update Purchase Orders with supplier order confirmation
  • Update commodity material price tracker
  • Updating of purchasing spreadsheets
About you;
  • Experience of expediting/purchasing in manufacturing
  • Able to demonstrate good communication skills, both internally and externally across all levels
  • Microsoft Excel/ Word and Outlook office skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative and within a team
  • SAP would be an advantage not essential
