Job Description

A newly created Purchase to Pay (P2P) Manager role based in Leeds. This role will involve managing a small team of Accounts Payable & Procurement Assistants.Client DetailsPage Personnel are representing a client in the not-for-profit sector with a Purchase to Pay (P2P) Manager role joining their Finance & Accounts department.DescriptionThe successful candidate will be instrumental to developing the AP and procurement teams, supporting each team member fulfil their maximum potential, implementing new systems and processes, and supporting the Head of Accounts & Finance. The role has a lot of variety, and we are looking for someone who can bring innovation and new ideas to the organisation.Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage, develop and support the Accounts Payable team
  • Manage, develop and support a team of Procurement Officers
  • Review and maintain procedures for accounts payable and procurement processes
  • Analyse spend by supplier and payment method
  • Manage our key supplier relationships alongside operational teams
  • Provide regular updates on payment runs and cashflow to colleagues in finance for forecasting and monitoring
  • Work closely with operational teams on planning future procurement activity and act as a key point of escalation for any issues
  • Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts and external audit process
  • Manage a team of 5 employees, including all line management responsibilities
  • ProfileCandidates wishing to apply to the role should have:
  • Recently worked in an Accounts Payable or Purchase to Pay role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A good commercial acumen
  • Management or supervisory experience
  • Extensive knowledge of accounts payable processes
  • Previous experience in the housing, care or non-profit sector is advantageous, but not essential
