Job Description

Marks Sattin currently have a very exciting opporunity for a Purchase Ledger Supervisor for a business in Garforth, East Leeds!The primary responsibility of this role will be to assist the Purchase Ledger Manager with day to day management of the Purchase Ledger team of 8 and deal with complex queries with a small amount of processing.if you are an experienced PL Clerk, and would like to come away from day to day processing and would like to help manage a team and deal with complex queries, this role would be well suited to you. It would be ideal if you already had Supervisory experience!In return, my client will pay a competitive salary along with a brilliant bonus scheme!Responsibilities include:* Day to day delegation of work to the purchase ledger team.* Assist team members in solving problems by answering specific questions / seeking clarification from internal or external sources and providing assistance and coaching to the team.* Act as the escalation point for team members and internal escalations. Dealing with supplier issues and complex queries while escalating to Purchase Ledger Manager where required.* Perform the duties of an Accounts Payable Clerk for specific suppliers (circa 20% of time)* Prepare weekly BACS payment runs and ad hoc daily faster payments to ensure suppliers are paid as directed by the Purchase Ledger Manager or Financial Controller* Manage the Supplier maintenance process including new suppliers and amendments* Support in training new team members in Companys processes and controls* Manage the PO/Invoice dispute process and ensure internal KPIs are met* In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the jobholder may be asked to perform other duties assigned by the management from time to time.Please apply if this is of interest!
