A global provider of cutting-edge corrosion protection and re-engineering solutions is currently looking to recruit an experienced Pump Engineer for their Leeds engineering facility. Comprehensive technical knowledge of pumps is essential.You would play a key role as part of a specialist provider of corrosion engineering solutions who work with some of the biggest names operating in the power generation, oil & gas and petrochemical fields, operating out of 30 locations across 5 continents. Offering an attractive salary up to £45,000 this is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated engineer with broad experience of industrial engineering and comprehensive technical knowledge of pumps, drawings and strong CAD skills.---The RoleAs Pump Engineer you would also assist the Works Manager overseeing the smooth running of the engineering workshop. Your key responsibility will be managing the refurbishment of pumps and engineering components to ensure strip down, in-progress, final inspectionand testing are carried out in accordance with procedures, specifications, drawings and clients requirements. Other key tasks will include…- Providing direction and technical assistance to works engineering staff that may involve some hands on work- Offering repair solutions to clients repair requirements and provide work updates to customers- Supporting workshop planning and ensuring all work is carried out safely and to the companies H&S rules- Ensuring that Inspection reports are raised where appropriate and followed up.---The Candidate- Broad experience of Industrial engineering with experience in customer contact/sales, ideally gained within the Power Generation, Petrochemical, Oil or Water Industries- Comprehensive technical knowledge of pumps, drawings and CAD ability- Experience working with all types of Centrifugal pumps of various manufacture, such as HSC, volute, axial flow and vacuum pumps- Excellent communicator, well organised and strong people management and interpersonal skills- Practical engineering and technical experience in a supervisory /management role would be an advantage---The CompanyOperating globally for over 40 years, you would be joining a thriving provider of innovative coatings and engineering solutions.
