Job Description

Job AdvertWeve recently created two brand-new teams who will be responsible for the end to end Asda Proposition and oversee delivery of the strategy for our customers.About the RoleReporting to one of the Senior Managers in Asda Proposition, you will be responsible for turning proposition ideas into well thought through briefs for quantitative and qualitative research and other forms of testing. It will be your job to ensure we putthe right tests in place to give us the data and analysis to implement the right propositions for our customers.Your role and expertise in the team is unique, youll:

  • Take and write briefs, develop hypotheses and agree the best forms of testing or research and use insights to make decisions
  • Lead interpretation of findings to convince others to make changes using insights delivered
  • Bring together insights into compelling and winning customer propositions/offers vs our competitors
  • Identify aspects of propositions that need to be validated through insight
  • Use your knowledge of different testing methods to recommend the best way to test
  • Recommend best forms of research or trials for all potential ideas
  • Be the point of contact for the Asda Proposition team during ongoing research and testing, and ensure this is progressing to schedule and to budget
  • Create research and testing briefs, and work these through with the relevant teams (most commonly the Insight team)
  • Take on findings, interpret them and make recommendations
About YouYou will be multi-skilled and keen to excel in all aspects of research and testing. As well as excellent and rigorous logic, good instincts, and a can-do attitude you will:
  • Be able to understand different forms of primary research to test and recommend hypotheses
  • Identify where secondary research is more time and cost efficient
  • Come up with creative ideas for how to test hypotheses in other ways beyond research, such as running live trials
  • Competently analyse data, draw out key findings and distil the most important points for senior stakeholders
  • Work cross functionally with a range of stakeholders
  • Have a good understanding of how to test whether ideas are any good, through different forms of consumer research and conducting testing/trials.
  • Have a good level of analytical competence, and it would also be beneficial to have a general understanding of statistics, as this will help you interpret results.
  • Need to be able to turn all your findings into good recommendations, and convince people of these, both verbally and in writing.

This enables you to choose where youll be the most effective on any given day and for any given activity, providing the mix of working from home and in an office environment that works best for you and your team.But please remember that this role is Leeds-based, and will involve a large number of meetings and workshops that youll be expected to attend in personits not possible to do this role remotely.
