Job Description

An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen to join a fantastic company and team as the maintenance team leader.

  • Joinery, plumbing, building and decorating skills, able to work as a team and a leader on own initiative.
  • Understanding the meaning of quality and standards essential.
  • The general maintenance of a beautiful building
  • The job also involves work related to the setup of events and making sure the venue is kept to a high standard at all times.
  • Repair, maintenance and up keep of the building internally and the immediate outside area
This job entails managing the day-to-day running of the building and other properties.The position will involve the following:
  • Responsible for opening up / end of day procedures i.e. the locking up of the building
  • and lights/electrics etc to be switched off
  • Point of contact for all deliveries to the building, checking and signing off and re-locating to correct area, passing on delivery note to office for booking in procedures
  • Control of organising the building, furniture and stocks
  • Event set up, liaising with the event manager to set the event up as required, for example tables chairs sofas, stage, Av equipment etc
  • Directing / managing staff for building and housekeeping duties.
  • Following an event de rig ensuring everything is put away and back re-homed in correct holding area.
  • General Household upkeep such as replacing light bulbs, keeping the building tidy, removing boxes, cleaning of all glass and internal windows and external where possible.
  • Responsible for organizing waste /collection - bottles, recycling and general waste.
  • Fire officer/ warden - responsible for full building fire drills, tests and recording.
  • Responsible for full building risk assessments, daily, weekly and monthly reporting back with completed checklist to management every month and sooner should anything be urgent.
  • Car parking duties
  • Qualified first aider
  • Basic Joinery plumbing building and decorating skills required
  • Responsible for the intruder alarm system and fire system
  • Responsible for managing the heating and cooling systems and ensuring they are maintained.
  • Implementation of Health and Safety procedures and paperwork, ensuring regulations are followed and recorded.
  • Responsible for securely locking/ opening of the building, ensuring someone takes responsibility to open up at 7am and someone is responsible for locking and securing the building at 5.45pm, ensuring all doors/ windows walkways internal/external are lockedand secured, checking no intruders and everywhere is locked and lights off etc
  • Escorting visitors/workmen to necessary points in building ensuring they have complied with h&s regulations
  • You must ensure your role is carried out in accordance to the health and safety requirements provided, always wearing protective clothing goggles etc when needed
