Job Description

Salary: £60,000 depending on experienceLocation: LeedsShift Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pmContract Type: PermanentHours of Work per Week: 35Closing Date: 11/11/2020Ref No: 1573We are looking to recruit a Programme Manager in a leadership role based at our Leeds office. With this role you would become part of the UK’s largest provider of genuinely free independent debt advice and managed solutionsWhat you will be doingRight now, we’re working to deliver an ambitious strategy which will see us helping more people, responding to changing client needs, and working closely with our partners to reduce the harm of problem debt.This is a crucial role in determining the success of our growth plans. Within this role you would report to the Head of Change Delivery, accountable for devising, organising, and implementing strategic projects & programmes that are complex in nature and highly interdependent.Key accountabilities

  • Working to the Head of Change Delivery, plan and coordinate project/programme activities and lead the project/programme team to deliver the defined benefits.
  • Successfully define the scope, the approach and the delivery model for cross-functional projects/programmes as required.
  • Produce a defined delivery roadmap and continually reassess throughout the lifecycle to ensure it remains the most appropriate approach for delivering business benefits.
  • Develop appropriate metrics that track progress in on a regular and on-going basis. Whilst working with the Head of Change Delivery and the PMO team to develop and manage appropriate delivery management metrics.
  • Communicate delivery status with key stakeholders ensuring that all reports and communications are relevant, accurate and appropriate to the audience.
  • Assess the delivery method in place and offer improvements that support and enhance the current Change Management Framework (CMF).
  • Facilitate the agreement and documentation of all aspects of the solution design (technical, operational, business) to an appropriate level of detail, challenging the quality and completeness of all deliverables mandated within the project/ programme
  • Experience and knowledge
  • MSP or PRINCE 2 and Agile Project Management or equivalents.
  • Substantial knowledge of large-scale change programmes incorporating business and IT transformation.
  • Experience of leading a programme and managing across departments and/or functions.
  • Extensive experience of working with third party suppliers to implement software solutions.
  • Wide experience of stakeholder management and engaging with senior executives.
  • Experience of coaching, developing and supporting Project Managers and other less experienced Change professionals.
  • Expertise in matrix management.
  • Experience of leading a programme in a regulated environment (Desirable).

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - verbal and written

  • A good understanding of common project and programme risks and the effective management of these for a successful outcome.
