We have a fantastic opportunity for a Product Manager who will be responsible for identifying and delivering to market the optimum product assortment for a leading consumer durables business with a strong presence in the UK and European retail marketplace.With a mix of being home-based 2 days per week and the rest working in their modern offices in West Yorkshire, they are a truly forward thinking and innovative organisation where the rewards and benefits are excellent, and the promotion of a healthy work /life balance is at the core of their values.About the job:The Product Manager will be the expert in their designated category. You will be responsible for identifying trends and innovations for the customer-base, whilst delivering the product strategy via the selection of new products and then bringing them tomarket. You will own the NPD process, influencing internal stakeholders such as QA, Marketing and Supply Chain. You will also have ownership of the product life-cycle, including product innovation and pricing as well as the identification of new suppliers,markets and technologies; all with the over-riding accountability for sales and margin against profit targets.About the person:To be considered for this position, you need to have experience in a Product Management role, preferably in a consumer facing business where you will have a proven track record of spotting trends and getting products market in an efficient manner. With experienceof dealing with suppliers in the far east and the EU, you will also be highly commercial, with a good understanding on financial levers including pricing, margin and profit.
