Job Description

Product ManagerSalary: £50k-£55k + 15% bonusLocation: LeedsFirmly positioned within the tech sector as an industry-leading company, our client is a world-renowned and ever-evolving organisation that has arisen to the top of the crowded marketplace through a strict and meticulous brand philosophy that centres aroundcustomer focus, innovation, and quality.With the brand currently experiencing unprecedented growth across all sectors of the business and having recently received 1bn in investments from a leading global private equity investor, the team are now embarking on an exciting journey of expansion acrosstheir product streams and need proactive managers to help lead the charge.In accepting a role within this business, a product manager will take immediate ownership over one or more products in a value stream and thus must be highly organised and able to deliver against agreed OKRs. Astute leadership skills will also be paramountto succeeding in this position, with this role offering successful applicants a great opportunity to communicate across a business and brand themselves as knowledgeable and sector known employee.Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver against, and define the product vision and ensure it aligns to the overall company strategy and objectives
  • Budget for product iterations, planning KPIs and resource allocation
  • Provide clear rationales for your product decisions
  • Take immediate ownership for the product roadmap and strive to deliver product increments from a minimal marketable product
  • Provide support on managing financial risks that are associated with product sets (licence management, supportability and maintenance etc.)
  • Maintain responsibility for the achievement of product OKRs and wider ORKs
  • Take responsibility for the full product lifecycle and ensure problems and issues are dealt with succinctly
  • Periodically review analytics and gather insights
  • Collaborate with change management teams and ensure new approaches and product adoptions are implemented where appropriate
  • Communicate across the business and define key drivers for change
  • Organise workshops with product squads and help to define product outcomes
  • Remain abreast to the wider industry and ensure ideas are being adapted/evolved to cater to the changing needs of stakeholders
  • Work alongside UX teams to conduct UX assessments, surveys, and end-user focus group sessions
Candidate requirements:
  • Educated to BS or MS level in a Computer Science, Information Systems, Management, Business Administration related discipline
  • Background in End-to-end process from Ideation to retirement (ETA window for deliveries)
  • Previous 4+ years within a similar product manager positionSkilled communicator that can manage and influence stakeholders across the business
  • Exemplary knowledge of working within a product-centric business
  • Deep business acumen
  • Firm background in digital
  • Experience Product Roadmaps (Value orders Prioritisation etc.)
  • Knowledge of end-to-end processes from Ideation through to retirement (ETA window for deliveries)
  • Interested in the wider industry and the key trends/approaches that are appearing across the sector
  • Demonstrable understanding of software development processes (think Agile/DevOps etc.
  • Full understanding of all aspects of product lifecycle management (from budgets to ROI to product retirement and all in between)
  • Previous experience in defining and delivering key OKRs, KPIs and metrics
  • Experience using Product Management tools (e.g. Monday.com, Asana, Craft.io, Airfocus, ProdPad, Roadmunk, Jira/Confluence, etc)
