We are currently working with an up and coming MGA who have shown really impressive growth over the past 3 years. They have recently brought in a number of big names in the market from big firms in big roles, and the board feels this is because they have seen the opportunity and the recognition this insurer has received in the market and are excited by the future here. They now have a requirement for a technical underwriting professional to join their team as a Product Development Manager.They feel they offer unrivalled career opportunities for ambitious professionals too, so there really has not been a better time to join them as they continue on their exciting journey! This role can be based anywhere in the UK, from home too!You will report to the Head of Product Development and be responsible for maintaining the existing product offering, whilst also helping to support them with new product development too. You will also need to be capable of stepping into the Head of Product Developments shoes when needed.In this role you will use your underwriting experience and knowledge to research new covers, modernise existing covers and work with the board to design an underwriting approach. You will work collaboratively across the business functions to Identify and assess new product development opportunities and design, develop and launch new products and/or lines of business too, as well as making sure all this is done compliantly and to protect the organisation from any adverse risk.You will be able to display a solid track record in a similar role, possessing a solid underwriting background (ideally within commercial lines). You will also need to possess strong verbal communication skills, a proven ability to deliver results coupled with the ability to apply critical thinking as part of the role.In return, the salary on offer is £32-60k (solely dependent on experience), plus Healthcare, Pension and Bonus, dependant on skills and experience.If you would like to discuss this role in more detail and in complete confidence, please contact Kieran at CKB Recruitment.
