Job AdvertAre you an established procurement manager looking for a fresh challenge Do you want to join a top national grocery retailer on an exciting business transformation journey Do you have a strong corporate / professional services background Lookno further, this might be the role for you..Your RoleAsda currently have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join our Corporate Services Procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity formotivated individualsto progress their career, support Asda through its Transformation strategy andcontribute to Asdas Every Day Low Cost culture.As an ASDA Procurement Manager you will be leading on and supporting a range of commercial activities with a focus on Professional Services, with opportunity to support on other categories in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) area. This will involve:

  • Being responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex and agile strategic sourcing processes
  • Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to a number of business functions, with a strong understanding of the Professional Services (Consultancy, HR and Legal)
  • Being accountable for creating and implementing Category Strategies to support to business objectives.
  • Working closely with the Supplier Manager to agree over all category direction, as well as manage risk and supplier performance.
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders (Senior Directors, VPs) to advise on direction and commercial approach.
  • Responsible for managing procurement systems including savings reports, contract management and sourcing solutions (Ariba).
About YouYoull need to have a proven background in strategic, service-based procurement. It would be advantageous but not essential for you to be CIPS accredited or working towards accreditation. The ability to negotiate confidently and effectively will be critical,as will the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships and use these to influence plans and decisions. Youll be comfortable with bringing external perspectives and market data to influence direction.
  • Previous experience of professional services procurement (essential), including consultancy, HR (Employee Services / Payroll) and legal is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial sourcing processes necessary to identify and onboard best in class capabilities and deals through excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in an agile manner to flex and support the business needs in a fast-paced transformation environment
